Diesel Particle Filter

A diesel particulate filter (DPF) usually consists of a honeycomb-shaped ceramic body with alternately sealed channels. The exhaust gases flow through the porous filter walls, whereas the solid exhaust particulates like soot and ashes are deposited.

At predefined intervals, the diesel particulate filter has to be regenerated. Concepts with and without additive have to be considered here. Filter Regeneration
